O’Eclat Designs is a socially conscious Nigerian brand crafting premium leather and indigenous fabric handbags and accessories, all handmade in Lagos, Nigeria.

We operate our own workspace, where we collaborate directly with skilled artisans to bring each handbag to life. By paying fair wages and providing accommodation, we ensure a supportive working environment that upholds ethical production practices. Our commitment to working with local artisans allows us to preserve traditional leatherwork, batik, and aso-oke weaving techniques while maintaining the highest quality standards. Each piece is produced in limited quantities, ensuring uniqueness, individuality, and meticulous attention to detail—values at the heart of our brand philosophy.

Our creative head, Gbemi Johnson, recently launched the Bag-to-School Project, an initiative dedicated to providing school bags for underprivileged children in rural areas. With every handbag sold, we contribute to this cause, and since the project’s inception, we have provided over 1,000 school bags to children in need.

Beyond this, we are committed to empowering women and artisans by offering training programs in craftsmanship, to equip aspiring artisans with skills for sustainable employment. We also champion circular fashion by repurposing indigenous fabrics like aso-oke, reducing textile waste while supporting local weavers. Additionally, we are working towards creating more eco-conscious packaging and sustainable production processes to minimize our environmental footprint.
